What a delightful stay! We love this lovely little cottage in Galveston. Check in was simple. The cottage is exactly as it appears in photos or maybe even better! There was convenient parking on street in front of the house. The house was charming and full of amenities to welcome any traveler. The kitchen was stocked with any item you could ever need cooking on vacation. The whole house is beautifully decorated and charming. It is also SPOTLESS!! Truly SO clean! Our host had blueberry muffins waiting along with fresh flowers in the house. Details that were definitely noticed! Every nook and cranny in this home has been well thought out and charm just oozes from every corner. The coffee nook was appreciated. The night lights in the bathroom a plus! Just so many amenities many rentals don’t have. Thank you so much, Barbara, for opening your home to us!! Our stay was PERFECT! We cannot wait to come back again!!
Every detail in restorating this home was carefully thought out. I was memorized with how beautiful every detail was. From the moment we stepped through the threshold I felt I was back in time with a warm homey feel. The cookies that were left for us was an unexpected treat.
Had a little weekend getaway and went to Mardi gras...loved the house location isn't too far from things we will definitely recommend and/or will stay again in the future!
We had a wonderful girl’s weekend in this house. Barbara was exceptionally nice, leaving us wine and cookies! Lots of local places close by to eat , play pool, or grab a drink. You could walk to the beach, but we drove over each morning and did our walk on the beach. You could walk to The Strand, but we Ubered over for $5! The beds were very comfortable! Each bedroom was private and you could sleep while others were chatting over coffee. We are already planning our next trip!
We had an amazing stay at Speakeasy! The house is absolutely adorable and in a perfect location. The beds were super comfy and rooms spacious. Had everything we needed for our stay. Barbara went out of her way to add some special touches for my daughters birthday and gave us some great local tips. Our favorite restaurant was Miller’s at the corner of the street. We loved it so much we ate there twice. We enjoyed Shark Shack on Strand St as well! Definitely take a trip to LaKings Confectionery for your treats. It’s so good! Speakeasy will be our our lodging for our future trips to Galveston.
